Meet Adam
I grew up in Southwest Ohio, and now my wife Amanda and I, along with our five children, proudly call Lebanon our home. Since 2023 I've represented Warren County as your State Representative for Ohio House District 56. In my first term I passed more legislation than any other freshman, and the CPAC Foundation ranked me the sixth most conservative member of the Ohio House. I sponsored the bills that became Ohio's 2.75% flat income tax, part of about $3.2 billion in tax cuts. I also helped pass property tax reform that saved homeowners more than $3 billion, along with Safe Haven Baby Boxes and school choice. Through the state budget, I secured the state funding that kept the Cincinnati Open in Mason and helped it expand to a two-week tournament and a facility with year-round activation. I believe legislators should write the laws and judges should interpret them, and my House Bill 179 overturned court decisions that had rewritten Ohio law from the bench.
Before going to Columbus, I served as Vice Mayor on Lebanon City Council. There I promoted pro-family and pro-business legislation, working with our local shops and chambers of commerce to keep our downtown businesses alive through the COVID shutdowns. I sponsored a budget that retired over $2 million of debt and brought numerous new businesses and large developments to our area. I also kept our Independence Day Parade going in 2020.
After graduating from St. Xavier High School, I attended the University of Notre Dame to study mechanical engineering and political science. I graduated from Notre Dame's Engineering Honors Program, which included a thesis on my research modeling brain material for the United States Army, to help protect our soldiers from shrapnel and concussions caused by IEDs. My engineering work included time in Procter & Gamble's diaper division and research and development as a civilian for the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program.
I returned to Notre Dame for my law degree. Since then I've practiced as a small business and patent attorney, helping inventors, innovators and entrepreneurs remove the legal red tape standing between them and business success. As a small business attorney and small firm partner, I have seen firsthand how regulations can hinder growth. I also know how hard it is to support a family while being involved in the community. I want to enable well-paying jobs here in Ohio so we can have happy families and Little League coaches. Today I serve as counsel and Chief Data & Privacy Officer for Heartbeat International, and my pro-life legal work has reached the U.S. Supreme Court twice.
I have been blessed with numerous opportunities to act on my beliefs while serving my community. I helped the unborn by serving as Chairman of Elizabeth's New Life Center, a network of pro-life women's centers throughout Southwest Ohio. I have also been a member of the Lebanon Parks & Recreation Board, a junior high football coach, and a District Chair for the Boy Scouts. Before I was elected, I testified multiple times before the General Assembly, including in favor of the Heartbeat Bill and the Human Life Protection Act.
